Heavy thunderstorms are possible, accompanied by local intense precipitation, hail and gusty winds. Intense local showers with hail, intense wind blasts and lightning strikes. Hail can damage crops; rain showers can cause the rising of torrential watercourses and rainwater floods. Lightning strikes may start fires. Disturbances in traffic and outdoor activities are possible. The sea is rough.
Beware of approaching storm clouds. Wait on a safe spot inside a building; if a thunderstorm catches you in the open, find shelter in a building or vehicle. Do not carry metallic objects in the open. Do not linger under trees or power lines during a thunderstorm; lightning strike can be deadly! If possible, move vehicles into a garage in good time. Do not park under trees; a blast of wind can break branches or uproot a tree. Do not linger in the vicinity of torrential watercourses. When at sea, find the nearest safe haven.

ORANGE pour littoral
The sea floods the low-lying parts of the coast. Material damage to vessels and vehicles is possible; parts of coastal roads, walking paths and older piers are flooded. Beginning of sanitation problems in coastal towns. Sea access is significantly hindered.
Avoid locations at risk. Avoid walking by the sea. Check the road drivability and access to locations. Avoid driving on flooded coastal roads, park your cars in parking lots that are not in the immediate vicinity of the sea. Remove cars and other objects from the broader coastal area. Owners of vessels should check the situation in berths. Follow the information about potential problems with public utilities and sewerage systems.
Before the event, or upon warning by public services,
timely check the vessels in berths and anchor points. Prepare vessels and other objects for stormy conditions. Park your cars in parking lots that are not in the immediate vicinity of the sea. Remove all objects, devices and pleasure crafts from the coast.
During the event:
Do not sail out on any vessel and do not swim in the sea! Avoid moving by the sea, especially lingering in the leeward parts of buildings, treelines and billboards; any works at heights should be stopped; do not repair the damage to vessels and other objects during the storm. We recommend great care in traffic on coastal roads, especially in crosswind and in exposed areas (e.g. by jetties, breakwaters with rock rubbles, piers); expect felled trees or broken power lines and stranded vessels.
We recommend that you take great care and monitor the development of the weather situation and consistently follow any instructions of the bodies of the Civil Protection and Maritime Administration.
